My favorite time of year

The weather is cooler. I sweat less. There's dew in the air. I can see Big Bear Mountain without disruption from the brown haze that lingers in front of it. I get to open the doors and windows of my home. My electric bill goes down. I get to actually use the sheets and blankets that adorn my bed. My wife allows cuddling. I get to bust out my jackets and sweaters and hoodies, oh my! Hot chocolate and apple cider become menu options again. Dairy Queen sells the pumpkin pie blizzard (for a limited time only). Football is in full effect. I get to use my spa! Businesses begin decorating for the holidays. Department store sales abound. My birthday is just around the corner (not that I encourage self glorification). I get to pretend like I'm going snowboarding for the first time...for the sixth staright year. And, of course, the baseball playoffs are here. Yes, I do love this time of year!
